The BM-1600 Vertical Machining Center offers unsurpassed performance and value for heavy-duty machining of ferrous materials.
The extremely rigid cast iron base is paired with four Y-axis box guide ways to eliminate saddle overhang while the extra-wide column expands machining capability. Hand-scraped way surfaces provide long-term accuracy and durability for years of productive performance.
The standard 6,000 rpm (30 hp) 2-speed geared-head CT-50 spindle delivers an impressive 410 ft/lbs of torque to handle the most demanding machining requirements. An optional High Power 6,000 rpm (35 hp) gear driven CT-50 delivering 485 ft/lbs of torque is also available.
The industry-standard Fanuc 18i-MB CNC control with conversational programming makes the BM-1600 a seamless addition to any shop.
